CTO in AI/ML (PTA perm)

A client in Menlyn, Pretoria is seeking a Chief Technology Officer in AI/ML as follows

• Responsible for their AI / ML division, consisting of teams of Data Scientists, ML Engineers and Devs
• Develop strategies for these AI / ML teams to deliver on clear business objectives
• AI / ML Models include optimizing medical tech CAD’s and medical imaging (like X-Rays) on Azure
• Responsible for managing AI / ML project budgets, resources, deliverables, timelines, stakeholders etc.
• Work with cross-functional teams across medical, product and engineering divisions
• Manage related AI / ML partnerships, incl. academic institutions, medical labs and vendors

Skills Required

• At least 10 yrs exp. in AI / ML, preferably using Azure and C# / .Net tech stack
• Must have at least 5+ yrs exp. as a CTO, incl. several yrs in leading AI/ ML teams
• Solid exp. in AI / ML Models, Frameworks, Algorithms and Deep Learning esp. on Azure
• Some Project Management exp. and Vendor Management exp. is required
• MedTech exp. using AI/ML in medical technology and medical imaging will be very useful
• Diploma’s / degrees in AI / ML related fields of Comp. Science, Engineering etc. is required

This is a permanent position based in Menlyn, Pretoria with a hybrid work method (3 days in the office)
