Java Dev (JHB / CPT contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Developer as follows

• To build FinTech solutions using Open Source technology (Java on AWS with Spring boot framework)
• Use HTML / CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Angular for the Front End
• Use Java Enterprise Edition and PostgreSQL DB as well as RESTful API’s for the Back End
• Use AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Kafka, API Gateway, IAM, SNS, CloudWatch plus Docker / Kubernetes
• Use GitHub and related DevOps tools for automating CI/CD pipelines
• Use SOLID programming principles

Required Skills:

• At least 7-8 yrs exp. as a Java Dev (with most of the above tech stack) is required
• Agile and DevOps exp. using JIRA / Confluence is ideal
• A relevant software degree (Comp. Science or Engineering)
• Cloud certs (like AWS) are an advantage

Work Arrangement:

• This is a 6 month contract
• On a hybrid work basis (3 days / week at their offices in Gauteng or in Cape Town)
• May be converted to permanent on completion (for the right candidate)
• SA citizens only
