Oracle Ops Eng. (JHB contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Oracle Operations Engineer as follows

• To manage and monitor their Oracle Database and Web Server environment
• Manage Incidents (IM) and Changes (CM) that impact on their server environment
• Linux Server management exp. (Shell scripts, Web Servers, security / performance) is required
• Oracle Database management exp. (DB auditing with DAM, PL/SQL issues exp.) is required
• Server Performance management exp. using Splunk or similar tools is ideal (not required)
• Use Agile methods to elaborate on the Backlog stories’ impact on the environment
• Exp. with Data Modelling (ERD’s) and Data Visualisation (BI Tools) is useful (not required)
• Must have 6+ yrs exp. in a similar Oracle technical support role (required)
• Oracle DBA and Server certs are a benefit (not required)
• ITIL Service Management (ITSM) certs and exp. are a benefit (not required)

This is a hybrid work contract, with some time required at their offices in Gauteng starting from Sept.
