Snr Java Dev (JHB contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Java Developer as follows

• To build FinTech solutions using Open Source technology (Java on AWS platform)
• Use Java Enterprise Ed. and Dynamo DB (AWS) as well as RESTful API’s to build the back-end
• Use HTML / CSS, JS, TypeScript and ReactJS to build the front-end
• Use AWS services like ECS, DynamoDB and CloudWatch on a MicroServices Architecture
• Use JUnit and Mockito for unit testing and integration
• Use BitBucket, GitHub, Actions, Nexus for SourceCode Mng and CI/CD, plus SonarQube for checks

Required Skills:

• At least 8-10 yrs exp. as a Full Stack Dev using most of the above tech stack is required
• Exp. with BI Tools and Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be useful (not required)
• Agile (Scrum) and DevOps exp. using JIRA and Confluence is required
• A relevant software degree (Comp. Science or Engineering) plus Cloud certs is an advantage

This is a 12 to 18 month contract on a hybrid work basis (few days / week at their offices in Gauteng)
