A client in Gauteng is seeking an Intermediate AWS Data Engineer as follows

To design and build data pipelines in AWS for BI visualization to end users
Design pipelines using Data Modelling principles, like ERD’s, data mapping, data staging, etc.
Extract and load data from sources like SQL DB’s, Big Data (Hadoop) and S3 etc. using ETL / ELT tools
Verify and cleanse data using Data Quality tools like Great Expectations
Build the pipelines using Terraform, Python, AWS Glue, Kinesis, CloudWatch, CloudFormation etc.
Enable server scalability using containerization (Docker / Kubernetes) and serverless (Lambda)
Work with Data Analysts who will build the reports using BI visualization tools (like Power BI)
At least 4-5+ yrs exp. in Data Engineering (or Back-End BI Dev) is required
Relevant AWS certs are a big benefit

This is a hybrid work contract with a few days / week at their offices in Gauteng
