Azure Data Eng (CPT perm)

A client in Cape Town is seeking an Intermediate Azure Data Eng / PowerBI Dev as follows

• To design and build data pipelines in Azure, as well as visualizations in PowerBI
• Design the data modelling, data mapping, data flows, triggers, etc. as a tech spec
• Extract and cleanse data from SQL DB sources and transform into target models
• Analyze the data and present as meaningful insights, with graphs etc. in PowerBI

Skill Requirements

• At least 4 to 5 yrs Data Eng. exp. using Azure, SQL, PowerBI (required)
• Exp. in Azure Storage, Database (SQL), Automation and Logic Apps services
• Understand the impact of data security (incl. row-level) on the presentation layer
• Preferably from a BI Dev / Data Analyst background (not required)
• Ideally with Consulting exp. as this is a client-facing role (not internal)
• Must have excellent Technical English language skills (required)
• A Comp. Science / Eng. degree and relevant MS certs are a major plus (not required)

This is a permanent position with a hybrid work schedule at their offices in Century City, Cape Town
