SAP SD / WMS Architect (contract)

A client based in KZN is seeking a SAP SD /WMS Solution Architect as follows

• Lead the QA / Design forums and assist Steercom with their SAP SD / WMS / TMS implementation
• Work closely with Functional / Change Management teams, guiding prototype workshops and change practices
• Review and approve all Solution Design and Testing specs (Functional, Technical, Test Cases)
• Ensure that SAP SD /WMS is developed, configured and implemented according to the Activate methodology
• Responsible for all Unit / Integration Testing, Training and Cutover and Business Continuity activities
• Liaise with 3rd party System Integrators (SI’s) and ensure their deliverables align with the SAP implementation
• Work with Data Leads and Stewards to ensure SAP SD Data Migration is complete and Cutover is done smoothly

Skills required

• At least 8 to 10 yrs functional exp. in Warehousing / Outbound Logistics using SAP SD / WMS is required
• Excellent understanding of Logistics, Warehousing, Sales & Distribution processes in Manufacturing is ideal
• Several full cycle SAP SD / WMS implementations (ideally using Activate methodology) is required
• Exp. with implementing SAP TMS (Transport Management) is ideal (not required)
• Exp. doing releases using SAP SolMan (Solutions Manager) is required
• Exp. with SAP Access Control and GRC (Governance, Risk and Compliance) is required
• Professional Solutions Consulting background is a big benefit
• Relevant IT degrees / diplomas and SAP certifications are a plus

This is a 12 month contract (renewable) with travel required to their HO in KZN and to sites in East Africa (hybrid)
