Azure Data Eng (JHB contract/perm)

A client in Gauteng is seeking an Intermediate Azure Data Engineer as follows

• To design and build data pipelines in Azure
• Design using data modelling and data mapping, with data cleansing and staging, etc.
• Extract data from various SQL DB sources into Azure using Python, SSIS etc. (required)
• Analyze the data using Azure Synapse (required) and Machine Learning (not required)
• Azure Data Factory exp. is an advantage (not required)
• Work with Data Scientists and Devs to guide analytics and visualization
• Preferably from a Business Intelligence dev background (not required)
• At least 4 to 5 yrs Data Eng. / BI Dev exp. (mostly in Azure) is required
• Relevant Comp Science / Eng. degree and MS certs are a big benefit

This is a 12 month hybrid work contract with 2-3 days / week at their offices in Centurion,

Plus there’s also a permanent position available with similar requirements to the above
