Azure Data Eng. (remote contract)

A client in Cape Town is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Azure Data Engineer as follows

• To design and build a Data pipeline in Azure, in order to present data to end users
• Design using Data Modelling principles, like ERD’s, data mapping, staging data, etc.
• Extract data from various PLC / Historian sources into Azure using ETL tools (like SSIS)
• Build Data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and store in SQL / CosmoDB’s
• Enable server scalability using containerization (like Docker / Kubernetes)
• Work with Data / Business Analysts who will build reports (in PowerBI / Tableau)
• At least 3 to 5+ yrs Azure / SQL exp. is req’d for Intermediate (or more for Senior)
• Relevant MS certs are a big benefit

This is a 6 month fully remote contract (WFH) starting ASAP
