BI Analyst (CPT Perm)

A client in Cape Town is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence / Data Analyst as follows:

Responsibilities:

• Work with a team of BI Devs, to deliver business insights on AWS
• Assist with understanding BI requirements and translating them into specifications
• Design the required data modelling and data flows, with data transformation rules
• Do data mapping from source to target systems, with associated ETL / ELT and data flow design
• Ensure data quality is consistent, with data staging for the visualization to be delivered from

Skills Required:

• At least 6-7 yrs exp. in BI Analytics is required
• Can be from a BI Dev background, but some Data Analysis exp. is required
• Exp. with a variety of BI tools and data formats is ideal
• Incl. Python and SQL dev exp. (both are required)
• AWS (or Azure) data pipeline exp. (either one is required)
• Ideally with long term tenure (2-3 yrs or more per job)

Qualifications:

• Engineering / Data Science qualifications are ideal
• AWS data certs are a plus

Work Arrangement:

• This is a full time permanent work position
• With hybrid work methods (on site 3 days / week)
• Preference is given to applicants based in Cape Town
• Relocation to Cape Town is at your own cost (if from elsewhere)
