DevOps Eng (remote contract)

A client in Durban is seeking an Intermediate DevOps Engineer as follows

• To design, implement and manage / maintain their cloud infrastructure using DevOps methods
• Work closely with Dev teams to integrate DevOps processes into their workflows
• Ensure High Availability (HA) and Scalability of solutions running on their server farm
• Config management tools, monitoring + alert systems and CI/CD pipeline exp. required
• Config Management tools like Ansible, Chef or Puppet are ideal (must have at least one)
• Server Scripting using Python, Bash or Shell scripts also ideal (must have similar exp.)
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes (required)
• CI/CD exp. with pipelines like Jenkins or GitLab (ideally one of these)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies like Scrum required (required)
• Consulting exp. will be beneficial (not required)

This is a 6 to 12 month full time work contract, on a fully remote basis (WFH)
