Head of Tech (JHB perm)

A client in Sandton, Gauteng is seeking a Head of Technology as follows

Responsibilities:

• To lead a Dev and Support Team that maintains and enhances their high volume eCommerce platform
• Architect solutions and guide the Dev Team on their delivery, doing code reviews and managing Support
• Work hands-on with a cross-functional team to maintain and build new functionality on their platform
• Must have a strong Microsoft Dev background, ideally as a Dev Team Lead (or similar skillset)
• eCommerce exp. is ideal, with Payment and digital Product Integration exp.

Skills Required:

• At least 6-8 yrs dev exp. in the Microsoft tech stack, i.e. in C# / .Net / SQL (on prem and on Azure)
• With some exp. as a Dev Team Lead, using JIRA / Confluence to manage the team
• Some GraphQL, React, TypeScript and Relay exp. will be ideal (not all are required)
• DevOps exp. with implementing CI/CD pipelines is required, ideally with Git repo on Azure DevOps
• Excellent API Dev skills are required, incl. RESTful API’s and SOAP architecture
• Exp. in implementing App Monitoring tools for high transaction volumes is ideal (not required)
• Ideally from a FinTech background, especially in eCommerce with digital Payments
• A Comp. Science or Engineering degree, with MS Dev and Azure certification is ideal

Work Arrangement:

• This is a permanent position
• Based full-time at their offices in Sandton (Mon-Fri.)
