AWS DevOps Eng (JHB contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking an AWS DevOps Engineer as follows

• To work with Dev teams as Operations that manage their server landscape on AWS cloud
• Ideally from a Dev background, with Java, Angular, Spring Boot and PostgreSQL exp. (not required)
• Using Apache web server on Linux / Unix Servers, with Batch and Shell Scripting (required exp.)
• Solid understanding of DB servers, API’s, Load Balancing and Cyber Security / Secrets Mng. (required)
• DB Monitoring using Grafana / Prometheus and Cloudwatch for servers (similar exp. is required )
• Git repository, Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, Kubernetes, Terraform / CloudFormation Infra-as-Code (similar is req’d)
• Must have 3+ yrs DevOps / Sys Eng. exp. and at least 7-8+ yrs Software exp. overall (required exp.)
• Agile methodologies using JIRA and Confluence tools (required exp.)
• Relevant DevOps / Sys Eng. certs and an IT degree is beneficial (not required)

This is a hybrid work contract, with 1-2 days / week at their offices in Gauteng
