Back End Dev (JHB contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking a Snr Back End Developer on contract as follows

• To design and build the back-end for a hybrid mobile / web solutions on a Microservices architecture platform
• Solid understanding of Data Modeling and Cloud Interface design patterns are required
• Build the back-end using Java, TypeScript, Node.js and Python on SQL / NoSQL and AWS (some exp. required)
• AWS Cloud dev exp. using Containerization, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS, Kinesis, S3 etc. (some exp. required)
• Infra-As-Code using TerraForm / CloudFormation and integration using RESTful API’s (required)
• Store on GitHub repo’s, with deployment using CI/CD pipelines to their environment (required)
• Exp. with Optimization theory, Control theory and Machine Learning is useful (not required)
• Full SDLC exp. incl. Unit, Integration, Regression and Load / Performance Testing is required
• Must have 6-7+ yrs exp. in Full Stack Dev (with some exp. in the above tech stack is required)
• Solid exp. in Agile / DevOps methodologies (required)
• Relevant software degree and Cloud certs are a plus (not required)

This is a full time hybrid work contract, with 1-2 days at their offices in Gauteng, gradually more remote over time
