Data Analyst (JHB Contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking an Intermediate to Senior Data Analyst as follows

Responsibilities:

• Full data lifecycle, from sourcing, modelling, validation, deployment, monitoring
• Fin Data modelling for Crime Detection using KYC / AML methods
• Ensure Data Engineering and Data Cleansing is done as required
• Build statistical and ML models for detection of anomalies and monitor results
• Visualization with dashboards and reports for actioning results

Skills Required:

• At least 6-7 yrs exp. as a Data Analyst / Data Scientist
• Ideally in Financial industry with Fin Crime using KYC / AML etc.
• Technical exp. in SQL, Python, R and Cloud (preferably Azure)
• Data Modelling, Data Pipelines and Data Visualization skills
• A Degree / Diploma in Data Analysis / Data Science is a big benefit
• Ideally from a Consulting background (not required)

Work Arrangement:

• This is a 6 month contract (full time 160 hrs pm) that may convert to Permanent
• With a hybrid work policy (at their offices in Sandton 3-4 days / week)
• Starting ASAP (earlier is better than waiting a month)
• This contract may be renewed on successful completion
