Java Dev (CPT Perm)

A client in Cape Town is seeking 2x Intermediate Full-Stack Java Developers as follows:

Responsibilities:

• To build Healthcare solutions on their Open Source tech stack (i.e. Java on AWS)
• Work in an Agile delivery team with the Product Owner, DevOps and Support teams
• Use HTML / CSS, JS, TypeScript and Angular / React to build the front-end
• Use J2EE and Java 11 on PostgreSQL / MySQL on Linux on AWS to build the back-end
• Connect them using RESTful / JSON API’s on a MicroServices Architecture

Required Skills:

• At least 3-4 yrs exp. as a Full Stack Java Dev, using most of the above tech stack
• Exp. with Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) will be useful (not required)
• Agile (SCRUM) and DevOps exp. using JIRA and Confluence will be very useful
• Healthcare exp. with Elec Health Records (EHR) formats like FL7 and FHIR is useful (not required)
• A relevant software degree (Comp. Science or Engineering) plus any dev certs are an advantage

Work Arrangement:

• This is a permanent full time position
• Work is on a hybrid work basis (few days / week at their offices)
• They’re based in Century City, Cape Town
