PostgreSQL DBA (JHB contract)

A client in Gauteng is seeking an Intermediate PostreSQL DBA as follows

• Design, implement and manage several PostgreSQL instances
• Manage DB security, performance and maintain latest SP updates
• Automate DB backup / restore and DB replication functions
• Assist Devs with optimizing their Queries / Procs running on the DB
• 4+ yrs exp. with PostgreSQL preferably as a DBA is required
• Relevant PostgreSQL certs and an IT degree will be advantageous

This is a 12 month contract on a hybrid work basis, at their offices in Gauteng

There is a weekly rotation schedule for 24/7 on-call standby work
